lots of green and brown! in past years i watched carefully how much of this and how much of that to put in my compost pile. this year i put in what ever came my way. i got a bagger mower in the early part of the spring 99% of the material was grass, and 1% kitchen scraps. as the garden started to produce we added more on the green side we did add some cardboard and bagged manure. but when we used 100% grass clippings and turned the pile once a week the pile made just as good compost as the other way.  check out praxxus55712 Channel on composting. right now we have a pickup load of mostly browns after cleaning some of the garden most of this load is sweetcorn stalks, this will be good stuff next spring.
