13 degrees in sunny southern Iowa weather guesser is calling 6" of ssssssssssnow tonight into tomorrow. I'm sure he meant some other place in Iowa. to early for a white Christmas. Sherry and I are having lunch out today. Once a month we have lunch with old school friends. we always have a great time at these. we are almost done winterizing will finish up in tomorrow.
Bwahaaaaahaaaa ~ weather guesser ~ I absolutely LOVE this, David!
We are expecting an inch or two of snow on Sunday night so the roads are already salt-solution-striped. What a waste of money but I can't convince them that it doesn't do any good. It has been in the upper teens in the mornings with highs in the mid-30s so don't think about coming down here to warm up ~ these temps are around 20 degrees below normal. Global warming my skinny butt!!!
Eleven degrees here in Wisconsin this morning. We didn't get the snow that northern Wisconsin got. That is a good thing. I am so glad we got our 'outside' chores done. My birds are happy I have an electric bird bath.
You southerners are doing a lot of 'cuddling up', to stay warm right? Do you have the fireplace going? Global warning doesn't necessarily mean 'warmer' all over the world. It means severe changes in the weather. This is a sad situation for Mother Earth.

fall is back for a little while or I slept through winter and this is February.55 degrees right now and raining. has been in the 50's last 3 days the snow is completely gone I was hoping for a little sun, still wanting to get back in the yard we have some leaves to run the mower over or I may rake them up and put in garbage bags for leaf mold. everyone have a great Sunday.
It was 48F degrees today. Very nice. Rain and grey. I'll take rain over snow. Just as long as the rain doesn't turn to ice.
We had our Thanksgiving dinner today. YUMMY! Of course, I am sooooooooo full. This way it makes it easier on my kids to get to their in-laws homes too.
Early this morning I added to my compost pile. I also sprinkled more coffee grounds onto my garden beds. I took some of my Verbena 'Buenos Aries' seeds and scattered them throughout my flower beds, hoping the return in Spring.
