I know they say perennials sleep the first year, creep the second year and leap the third year.  Some of mine have leaped already this spring which is only their second year.  I was a little disappointed last year when some of the flowers did not perform like I had hoped.  I got most of them in June or July last year and most were on the clearance rack.  I just can't pass up a sale!  Here are just a few pictures of some plants.  I have pictured tulips coming up through the lambs ear which has taken off; Clematis (Miss Bateman) which didn't have a bloom all last year and hardly grew, but is now climbing up the metal trellis (a section of the room divider I got for free from the trash) and some primrose that I got on clearance this Spring.  Their first year and the leaves look a little sick, but they are blooming like crazy.  I Just Love Spring !!!!!!!

The tulips are so pretty and the primrose looked great to me. The trellis worked out perfectly for the clematis...lucky you FREE.  SPRING has definitely come to South Carolina.
