Got my 2015 Baker Creek catalog yesterday ~ oh, what a treat!  They outdo themselves on the cover every year.  This year, it's a collage of flowers, all made out of seeds.  SO cool.  I am going to wait until my eye is done today to crack into it.

Wish we could all visit this place someday ~ they are in Mansfield, MO (zone 6, I believe).  They have all kinds of yearly festivals and events.

Anyone who wants a catalog, go to http://www.rareseeds.com for a free one.  It is suitable for framing!!

I haven't received my Baker Creek Catalog yet but ordered a bunch from them last year.  Their catalog is a fantastic resource and the photography is outstanding!

FYI - Another free catalog of non-GMO seeds.

Thanks for the link!!  I just popped over there and signed up for their catalog.  As for the Baker Creek, I just got mine this week so since you are a bit further afield, you should be getting yours soon too ~ hope you do and that you find something great.

I want to try the malabar spinach again this year.  It has been frustrating me the past two years as it begins to take off just as the season is winding down.  Try, try again!!

Oh ~ and my thread was supposed to read SEED catalogs but I was working with only one eye when I posted.  Argh.

I haven't gotten any of my seed catalogs yet. It always lifts my spirits to page through the seed catalogs with a cup of tea in hand, while snow falling. Kelly you remember those BIG, wet, slow falling flakes. Soooooooo pretty, BUT in your mind you can't wait for Spring and the first chirps of the Robin.

I will first go through the seeds I have from the last two years before ordering more. Thanks for the link, ladybug.  I will check it out.Smile

I, too, have a hard time growing Malabar Spinach.  AND I also will be trying to grow it AGAIN. ConfusedI wonder what my problem is?  HELP PLEASE.

Kelly, hope you are doing good.  Prayers for a speedy & healthy recovery.  Enjoy your time off of work, reading with one good eye.  Laugh

Lark, I can now use BOTH eyes with success!  What a difference this has made.  Still need glasses for reading and close work but for distance, I can see to Guam!

You know, I thought I would have more success with the malabar, because it is noted as liking "hot and dry".  Maybe it is good luck that I plant it at all since we have had rainy summers ever since ~ NOT common.  I plan to start it early indoors this spring since it just hangs around and does nothing outdoors ALL summer and then takes OFF in September.  Well I want it to take off in June.  I am going to keep trying.

Kelly, I am happy that all went well with your surgery.  Life looks a little brighter now.Smile

I got my first seed catalog today, Johnny's Selected Seeds. Surprised  No time right now to kick back and do a want list.  Others should be arriving soon.
