First day of Spring, sunny, 48F, and a bit windy. I walked the gardens. Daffodils, scillas, tulips, some perennials and herbs are showing signs of life. It felt so good to be out in the sunshine. Even the Red Veined Sorrel is growing in the veggie garden. Now that is a hardy green.
I think I might do a little weeding on the perimeter of the flower beds. Easy to pull the weeds when the ground is moist. Especially the weeds that blew into the ground covers. I spread some Chamomile seed down on the edges of the bog garden. I want plenty to dry this Summer.
Seedlings & plants in my south windows are doing good. I did find aphids on my pepper plants. I sprayed them thoroughly with soap water and a little rubbing alcohol. I will spray them again tomorrow. I sure hope they don't spread all over.
I am so happy Spring is here. I just hope Winter doesn't decide to show up again.
