A couple of days ago I harvested my first large tomatoes, Black Krim.  This is the first time I have grown this variety.  Very tasty and a heirloom.  The bush in the bog container garden looks healthier and bigger than the bush in the west raised bed garden. In the west garden I did not add any worm castings, egg shells, Garden Tone fertilizer or compost.  In the container garden I added all of those amendments.  There is nothing comparable to a FRESH picked garden tomato.  YUMMY.

We had a BLT today using the 'Black Krim' tomato.  For our tastes, this tomato is too mild and non acidic.  It doesn't have that deep tomato flavor like Brandywine or Beefsteak. I will not use this tomato for sandwiches anymore.  Eating plain and sharing with others since I have 2 of these bushes.
