I transplanted my Kentucky Wonder and Fortex pole beans.  The plants are looking good. The Kentucky Wonder is in the west garden, trellised with sapplings. The Fortex are in the bog garden that has had 5 years of bark mulch.  They are planted directly in the rich soil that is under the new bark layer and will trellis up the cattle fencing arch. I will plant some type of flower at the base.

Today I planted my germinated seeds of Kentucky Wonder Pole Beans outside into the garden.  It is cold (low 40's at night, high of 47) windy and rain.  I put them down in the bog garden, directly in the bark mulch.  It will be a surprise if they grow.  Wet and cold is not a good condition BUT I have a lot of this seed so I don't have much to lose trying.  I will start more Kentucky Wonder in a week or so.

I also started some Red Noodle Beans, just because they are so darn pretty.  The flavor is very mild but they are an 'eye stopper' when walking the garden. These seeds germinated in 3 days using the PAPER TOWEL METHOD of SEED GERMINATION.  I now planted the germinated seeds into 3" pots and they are in my south windows until the weather warms up.
