HOMEMADE FACIAL and BODY SCRUB

This body and facial scrub is very inexpensive to make. I use as much organic ingredients as possible. It exfoliates, softens and adds nutrients to your skin. You will feel and see immediate results. It is amazing. These ingredients are approximate. The first three ingredients are the main scrub. You can add the rest of the ingredients as you want or have on hand. I will give you the measurements for enough to do your whole body.

Heat 1/3 cup water to a boil. Steep 1 GREEN TEA bag in this water. Cool
In a small bowl add:
½ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon of the GREEN TEA that is cooled
1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon PLAIN yogurt

This mixture should be the consistency of a thin pancake batter. If it seems too thick add more GREEN TEA. If you get it too runny, add more sugar. You don’t want it too abrasive. Be gentle when using on your face. I use my bath tub while using this scrub. It can be slippery in a shower if you drop some of the scrub. I start with my face and work downward. By the time I get to my waist, the face is drying so I take the GREEN TEA BAG that is wet and squeeze a little of the green tea on my face so I can easily massage the scrub again. I use the GREEN TEA BAG to moisten areas that are drying while I continue scrubbing my entire body. I like to spend extra time on my elbows and feet. When doing my feet, I sit on the edge of the tub (facing inward) and scrub my feet, heels and ankles. It feels so good. DO NOT STAND UP with this scrub on your feet! IT CAN BE VERY SLIPPERY. While sitting, I rinse my feet off and then stand up. I keep going over my entire body gently massaging this scrub in circular motion. Now I fill my tub and rinse off all the scrub. I take this time to RELAX and enjoy the spa like treatment you just gave yourself. Run you hands over your exfoliated body. WOW! It is so silky smooth. I do this treatment at least once a week. If I am short on time, I just do my face and neck area.

If you would like to do just your face: Start with 1 tablespoon sugar , ¼- ½ teaspoon of the rest of the ingredients. Use the GREEN TEA MIXTURE to thin the scrub if needed or more sugar to thicken it. It is up to you what ingredients you like to use. They are all EXCELLENT for most skin types. I am not sure about acne problems.
