Homemade Pumpkin Facial Mask

Homemade Pumpkin Facial Mask

This is a cheap and easy homemade facial mask that is excellent for all types of skin. The pumpkin is high in vitamin A (healing), vitamin C (antioxidant, exfoliate, smoothes and softens). The honey is also an antioxidant, moisturizes, smoothes and softens. The lemon exfoliates and has alpha hydroxyl acids, which many of your high priced facial creams contain. I am probably missing some of the excellent qualities of these natural beauty aids, but you get the idea.

The one picture shows you how I store the can pumpkin puree. Freezing the pumpkin puree in dollops makes it fast and easy to use. Plus, the waste is very little. Some people make this facial mask up in big batches and refrigerate, but I believe it holds more nutrients if you make only what you need and not refrigerate it for any sort of time. Open the can of pumpkin puree. Take a sheet of wax paper and place it on a cookie sheet. Now place about 2 teaspoons full of pumpkin puree in dollops on the wax paper until you use all the pumpkin puree. Put the cookie sheet into the freezer until pumpkin is frozen hard. Peel off the pumpkin dollops and put in freezer bag. Now they are ready to use in the exact amount you need for your HOMADE PUMPKIN FACIAL MASK. I use all ORGANIC PRODUCTS.

2 teaspoons (thawed) pumpkin puree
½ teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon FRESH lemon juice

Mix all above ingredients. Apply to face and neck. If I have any leftover I apply it to my upper chest and tops of my hands. Essentially on skin that gets a lot of sun. Let set about 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Apply moisturizer. I use my FRESH Aloe Vera gel from my plant.
